Please note we try to process all prescription requests within 2 working days. Occasionally this will take longer depending on demand. A doctor will review your request and your file. A prescription can be issued as long as you do not need to have bloods taken or be seen by a doctor. We will contact you by text/phone or inform your pharmacy if you need to book an appointment with a doctor or an appointment with the nurse for bloods.  If you do not wish for us to make a note with one of these directions to your pharmacy please state that in your request.

There is a 20e charge for private prescriptions. This does not apply if you have a medical card, GP visit card or are availing of the free contraception service for women aged 17-30.

If you request an item that is not on your regular medication list this may not be processed and you may not be contacted as this service is only for regular items. Please book an appointment with a Dr if you are seeking a medication you do not regularly take. If you feel a certain item should be added to your regular prescription please discuss this with your doctor.

Please do not put any urgent requests on this form. Please call reception if you have an urgent medical issue.
