Since the lifting of COVID restrictions patients can now book face to face appointments directly. If there are no appointments available on the same day the reception staff will advise you of this.
If you feel your issue requires urgent assessment, please advise the reception staff and they will try to arrange an urgent appointment or a telephone triage call. You will need to give as much information as possible if your issue is urgent so that we can give you the appropriate attention as soon as possible. Please note a GP surgery receptionist is not simply someone who answers the phone - they are specially trained to help you get the most appropriate treatment as fast as possible. In order to do this, they may need to ask you questions about why you need to see a doctor. Your right to privacy will always be respected and if you do not wish to disclose any information but feel your issue is urgent, please inform reception staff of this and a doctor will endeavor to contact you as soon as possible.
Please inform reception staff if you have any symptoms of COVID 19.
